YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD NEEDS YOUR VOICE!

The Snelling/St. Clair development issue has taken a new turn.

The Zoning Committee and Planning Commission passed the TJL/LaValle Development request for

a conditional use permit allowing him to extend building heights beyond the 55' and 35' height limits

outlined by T3 zoning.

This request was passed without question and with almost zero discussion by the Zoning Committee.

We believe that the TJL/LaValle request does NOT meet all the required conditions

for a conditional use permit as outlined in the city code, which states:

(d)  The use will not be detrimental to the existing character of the development in the

immediate neighborhood or endanger the public health, safety and general welfare.

(e)  The use will not impede the normal and orderly development and improvement of the

surrounding property for uses permitted in the district.

The code also states that the city must protect adjacent properties.

Neighbors for Responsible Development

has filed an appeal against TJL/LaValle's request for a conditional use permit,

and we will be heard by the City Council on

Wednesday, June 20, at 5:30 pm

Let us know if you need a ride down to City Hall.

Please email us to let us know if you are willing to attend the hearing on June 20.
